Postsnap is a free to download app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch that lets you use your own photos to create and send real personalised photo cards (Postcards, Greeting Cards, Announcement Cards and Party Invitations) – on the go.

Postsnap also allows the creation of Postcards using our website, for those customers who do not have an Apple Device. Click "Start Postcard" in the top menu for more details.

All cards are printed on high quality gloss card and can be posted it to virtually any destination in the world.

Yes as long as you have a Wi-Fi or cellular connection you can create a card using Postsnap. Your card will be printed and posted from the UK to the address you specify.

We can post cards to most countries worldwide if there is a functioning local postal system and no current security issues

UK, IoM & Channel Islands -- 1 - 3 working days (please allow up to 5 working days)
Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand -- 3 - 5 working days (please allow for up to 10 working days)
Rest of the World -- Up to 10 working days (please allow up to 14 working days)

If you place your card order before 11:00am GMT we aim to despatch it the same day. If your order is placed after 11:00am GMT it will be sent the next working day unless it is a Friday, when it will be posted Monday (excluding public holidays). Cards sent to the UK are posted first class using Royal Mail and they generally undertake to deliver 90% of first class items the next day. Please remember that first class post is not a guaranteed next day delivery service and depending on the size and amount of cards you order, these may take several days to arrive, particularly during peak periods.
Deliveries to international addresses will take longer. We aim for quick delivery, but this is not guaranteed.
If you have not received your card after 5 working days (UK, IoM & Channel Islands) or 10 working days (Europe, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia) or 14 working days (Rest of World) please contact us – our customer services team will be happy to help.

No, you may use our guest checkout service on the app if you have Apple Pay installed and activated on your mobile device.

If you do not have access to Apple Pay, or you would like to use our full range of services such as the Postsnap address book, you will need to create an account. It's easy to get an account: sign-up via your existing Facebook account, or by using your email address and a password which must be at least 7 characters including a minimum of one number.

Our Greeting Cards and Announcement Cards are high quality and are printed on thick, coated card and have a velvet like finish. We also post the cards in/with premium envelopes.
Our Postcards are printed on thick, high-quality card and have a gloss laminated finish to ensure that they are resilient to damage during postage.

Card Prices & Shipping

Our cards are shipped First/Priority class and we typically aim to deliver to most UK, USA, Canada, Australia and EU addresses within 1-5 working days depending upon your region. Cards shipped to other destinations may take up to 10 working days based upon the local postal service.

Cards are available to purchase in the following currencies - GBP, USD, CAD and AUS. The currency you see in app is determined by the 'Region' setting in your device Settings.

We accept MasterCard and Visa credit and debit cards, along with Apple Pay and PayPal. For added convenience, we offer repeat customers a quick payment option which only requires your CVV security number at checkout. Our charges are in GBP£ and depending upon your card issuer you may accrue a foreign transaction fee when you make a purchase from Postsnap.

Great value PrePay options are available which gives you free credit each time you top up your prepay account. The more you prepay the more free credit we give you.

You can add prepay credit securely from our app. Please note that your prepay credit expires after 24 months.

The security of your information is our utmost priority, so we and our payment-processing partner employ only industry-best practices when transferring, storing, and processing your credit or debit cards. Postsnap does not store or have access to your card details.
When you place your order with us, we transmit your billing information across a secure connection to our payment provider’s servers.
If you choose our super quick repeat payment option our payment provider (a market leader in this field) then returns to us an encrypted token, which is stored and used for your subsequent transactions.
This means that you do not need to enter your credit or debit card details again. However, for additional security we will always ask you to enter your CCV details each time you make a purchase via card.
The industry term for this is 'Tokenisation', and is widely recognised as the most secure method of processing repeat credit and debit card transactions and is completely PCI compliant.

Our displays currency based on your phone's region. To change the currency, please change your device's region via:

Don't forget to reset your app before placing your next order to allow your updated currency to take affect.

To purchase PrePay credit and get extra credit FREE, open the Postsnap app and click "More" in the bottom right hand corner. Select "Buy Prepay Credit" and follow the on-screen instructions.

You will qualify for extra free credit depending how much you purchase. Get up to £15 FREE PrePay credit. See in-app for details and Ts&Cs.

At this time, it's not possible to pay using your PrePay credit on our website postcard creator. At present you may only use PrePay credit to pay in our iOS app.

Postsnap has a referral scheme whereby customers can refer their friends and gain free credit for each new friend who signs up in app.

In summary, customers must spend a minimum £1.99 in-app to receive their referral code, and the friend being referred must sign up and spend £1.99 in-app (by credit, debit card, Paypal or Apple Pay). Free referral credit (currently £2) is then added to each account within 5 working days.

You may refer as many friends and family to Postsnap as you like, and each time you do you get more free prepay credit. Free prepay credit may only be used to purchase full price cards and may not be used in conjunction with other promotions or offers.

Please note: We may ask your friend to verify their identity via email, and obviously you can’t refer yourself! The amount of free prepay credit may vary from time to time and will be displayed in app and communicated via email. Referral credit will be added to your account automatically within 5 working days of a referral becoming affective. Free prepay credit has no alternative monetary value, may not be refunded and may only be used in payment for full priced Postsnap photo cards. Unused free prepay credit will expire after 24 months.

We reserve the right to withdraw or vary the terms of the Referral Programme and/or Free prepay credit offer and to delete any free credit added to your account/delete your Postsnap account(s) altogether if we judge, in our opinion that the spirit of our referral programme is, or has been, abused by you or your friends.

From time to time we release promotional codes for discounts. If you have a valid promotion code, in the app, please enter it into the 'Enter a Promotion Code' field in your Shopping Bag and tap ‘Apply Code’. The relevant discount will be applied automatically before you Checkout.

Please note that only one promotional code can be used per order and promotional codes cannot be used in conjunction with other offers. If for some reason your code doesn't work, please check the expiry date. If you are still experiencing problems please contact our Customer Service team on and they will be happy to assist you.

With our simple step-by-step process it’s so easy to personalise and create the card you want. Our card editor guides you through the various stages. You have the option to: create a collage; add a photo effect; add a stylish border colour or pattern and resize it to your preferred size; add your signature; and personalise your text with our wide range of fonts and colours.

Yes they do and we give you a warning sign if we think the image you have chosen may effect the overall quality of your card. This does not stop you from using the photograph and buying your card it just means that you run the risk that the overall photo quality may be pixelated.

Yes, you can! Choose your emojis from those listed in Apple's standard keyboard, and they'll be printed on or in your card.

We support all languages that flow from left to right and that are available as keyboard alternatives on Apple devices. However, we do not support non-English characters for the addresses on Greeting Cards, Announcement Cards or Invitations.

You can add an address from your 'Postsnap Address Book' or from your device contacts. If you don’t know your recipient’s address, our free address finder lets you send an email or free text to your recipient and your card is automatically updated once your recipient replies with their address. If you choose to send your card back to yourself, we provide free envelopes so that you can post the card on yourself.

Addresses used in the app are automatically saved in your 'Postsnap Address Book'. You can access addresses saved to your account from the mobile app.

Yes you can. We give you a preview prompt before you place your card in your shopping bag. You cannot preview the card again once it is in your shopping bag, but you can delete it from your shopping bag before purchase and start again if you wish.

If you order Announcement Cards or Greeting Cards and select 'Send back to me' from the ‘Choose Address’ choices, your cards will arrive in an outer envelope with the appropriate number of high quality blank envelopes ready for you to forward your cards on yourself.

Yes you can. We give you the option to duplicate your card and send it to another recipient before placing your card in your shopping bag. Not only that, you can edit your text at this stage too. So, for example, you can easily change 'Dear Mum' to 'Dear Auntie Jane' in your message if you want to send both the same card design.

If you have selected ‘Send back to me’ then yes, your products will all be placed in one package and despatched together.

When you order a card to be despatched direct to your recipient, there will be no notification of you as a sender unless you add it when customising your card. However, cards have a QR code printed on them. If your recipient scans this with their phone, they will be able to see the name of the card's sender.

If your recipient contacts us wanting to know who sent the card we will not release your information. However we will offer to pass on any comments from your recipient to you.

Typically, yes. But please check with the correctional facility before sending a postcard because most prisons and jails have strict guidelines for mail to adhere to.

As the cards have to go through extra security checks at correctional facilities, please allow a few extra days for delivery.

Please note that Postsnap can not guarantee delivery to correctional facilities because deliveries to inmates are solely at the facility's discretion.

All mail is inspected by staff, which means that postcards may be returned or simply not delivered if they do not adhere to their guidelines.

General prison mail guidelines for sending postcards (these may not apply to all facilities, so be sure to check with them first):

  • Standard-sized postcards only (not large)

  • Print the inmate's name and ID number in the address section

  • Photos should never contain nudity, sexually suggestive material

  • Hand gestures and tattoos are often not allowed because of gang implications

If you scan the QR code on the back of your card it takes you to a web page which lets you thank the sender of your card and also lets you provide them with feedback.

If you do not have a QR scanner on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch you can download one for free from Apple's App Store.

As soon as you notice a mistake with your card, please go to your 'Order History' in the ‘Account’ tab and check the order status. As long as the status is ‘Payment Processed’ we may be able to correct your mistake - please email our customer service team via or call us on 00 44 (0) 1202 801900 and we will do all we can to help.

Of course you can. If you are not happy in any way, please let us know and we will do everything that we can to fix your problem. You can submit a request for a replacement card or a refund to your card or prepay account by tapping the ‘Request a Refund’ tab in the 'Contact Us' section of our app or by emailing
We can usually process refunds and replacement cards within 24 hours. We will need your order number and your registered email address to resolve any queries you have. Please include this in your communications with us and let us have information about the fault as this will help us to achieve a speedy resolution to your problem.

When registering with us you will have chosen a password. For security reasons, we don't keep a record of passwords but we can email you a link to create a new one. Just click on 'Forgot Password?' in the 'Log In' tab and enter your registered email address. You should receive an email from us containing a link to set a new password. Please note that passwords are case sensitive and must be a minimum of seven characters including at least one number. If you do not receive your reset password email within 4 hours please check the junk mail folder of your email account.

No we don’t. Your photos belong to you. We store your created design for a few weeks just in case there is a problem with your order, otherwise the personalised image you have created is saved to your mobile device once you add it to your shopping bag. We may occasionally ask you if we may use your image for marketing and promotional purposes but we would never use or share your images without receiving your consent and agreement beforehand.

Yes we can. We have a free email, text or mobile notification reminder service, which lets you add important events such as birthdays and anniversaries to your Postsnap reminders calendar.

We will send you a reminder 14 days in advance of the occasion date you select so that you have plenty of time to send a beautiful personalised card. Simply click on the 'Account' tab, and select 'Reminders', followed by 'Add a New Reminder'.

Please note that email reminders are set up by each account holder and once set up they are sent to you automatically, unless you stop them. You can update your preferences at any time by editing or deleting your reminders from our app.

Sorry, no. We are not an e-card company. All our cards are real printed cards - we're keeping the card alive!

The Postsnap website provides lots of useful information to help you get the most from the features of our app. Postsnap is avaliable to download for free from the Apple App Store for iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch devices.
